Koenigsegg

 (The Koenigsegg Agera R 2011)

Last week was very quiet; School as normal, Waterpolo on Wednesday, and Rotary on Friday. I finalised payment for the Euro Tour and have been trying to get in contact with the local sailing club so I can get back on the water and start racing again.

The guys at Waterpolo mentioned that there will be an overnight trip to Norway 12-13th of Maj, which i'm quite excited about.

Magnus, Ängelholm's Rotary President, and I have put together a list of activities I would like to do with Ängelholm Rotarians during the rest of my stay here. Number one on that list; Visit Koenigsegg.

I finished the week with a busy weekend starting with a huge student party at a local bar for the graduating students friday night, Vilhelm Sandbergs 19th birthday party on Saturday, and to celebrate 3 months in Sweden I went to see the Koenigsegg showcase at the local mall on Sunday.

(as close as i've got to driving a Koenigsegg Agera R)

(Koenigsegg's "Simplistic-Swedish centre console design")

(This record was made by combining both the Agera R's record breaking 0-300km/h in 14.53sec and bone crunching 300-0km/h in 6.66sec giving it a combined total of 0-300-0km/h in 21.19sec more than 5.5sec faster that it's nearest competitor)

I got a pin for my Rotary Jacket. It is the Koenigsegg Crest.

As a result of my purchase I was able to enter a PS3 competition to attempt to get the best lap time driving the Agera R in the new Need For Speed game. The Prize was a real test drive in an Agera R at the test track up the road. I missed the previous best time by 1.3 seconds. Now I can only hope Rotary can get me in to visit the factory with Christian Koenigsegg in a few months time.
