EuroTour Day 12 - 17

Day 12 Lido D'Jesolo - Chambéry

The lack of sleep was starting to catch up to us at this point... leaving the Hotel (pictured below) we started the long trip across the French/Italian border to Chambéry.

(At this point Micah [lying down front left] had to leave us to return home to the States so we said goodbye through our first proper group photo)

(We drove past Chianocco; the town where Talia did her exchange in yr.10)

We stopped at a service station about 3km short of the tunnel that would take us across the boarder.

Day 13 Chambéry - Paris

The night in Chambéry went by with nothing exciting happening. We took the opportunity to catch up on sleep.

Arriving in Paris, we made our way to dinner before loading onto the bus for a quick bus tour of Paris.

Day 14 Paris

The next morning we continued the bus tour, starting of with the Moulin Rouge.

The rest of the day was spend walking the Champes-Élysées and walking the streets of Paris.

That night I met up with Angus Knoblanche and Elliot Hunt from school last year as they were on break from University. We started at an Australian Bar across from the Moulin Rouge and then followed the other exchange students.

Day 15 Paris

Day 15 was given to us to do as we please, and as i didn't feel like standing in line for 2 hours at the Eiffel Tower with the others, I made my way to Notre Dame.

(The 3.5 hour wait to climb the bell tower)

After seeing the Cathedral I walked into the city centre where I found a nice café for lunch. I continued to walk through the city for another 3 hours until I made my way back to the hotel when it started to rain.

Day 16 Paris - Kamen (via Brussels)

Sad to say but Brussels was really our last proper destination on the Tour.

Having said that, it is a beautiful city to end the tour on. We were given 2 hours for lunch and shopping before we continued on our way to Kamen.

Lunch consisted of a triple serving of Belgian Waffles... I'm still working the weight gained on EuroTour off a month and a half later.

Brussels biggest attraction is this fountained entitled "The Pissing Boy". The City has a museum of Costumes designed and dedicated to the statue. The costumes get changed every few days. There are several hundred costumes for the 'little boy'.

The rest of the day and Day 17 were spent on the road back to Malmö.
